283 CID V8 - 220 HP - 4BBL - Powerglide Auto. - P.Top - Frame-Off - TX History
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is the epitome of the classic cruisers of the 1950s and this one is a stunning example, having underwent a complete frame-off restoration. 1957 was the last year of the Tri-Five Chevys and it has to be one of the most iconic classic cars of all time. The 1957 Bel Air saw Chevrolet add tail fins with beautiful side trim that was much larger than the previous 2 years and the gold "Chevrolet" script trim and gold "V" hood trim was carried through to the '57 model. This particular '57 Bel Air Convertible comes to us out of a very large collection in Texas, where the previous owner clearly took excellent care of the car. Under the hood of this 1957 Power Pack Chevy is a 283 Cubic Inch V8 engine with a Carter single 4 barrel carburetor (FC suffix) that is believed to have pushed out 220 horsepower in its day. Dual exhaust gives this classic Chevrolet a nice throaty sound. The 283 V8 is hooked up to an Powerglide Automatic Transmission that anybody can easily take for a drive. This Bel Air has been beautifully refinished in its original color, Matador Red (802 code), and it is sure to stand out in a crowd! Sitting on 4 bias ply wide whitewall tires with full spinner hubcaps, this '57 Chevy Bel-Air has an excellent 50s exterior look. The White Vinyl Power Convertible Top is in excellent shape and works great! This Tri-Five Chevrolet is also equipped with dual spotlights for that extra 50s look. The interior on this 57 Bel Air Convertible is fabulous as well! The bench seats are covered in Red and Silver Vinyl which is correct for this 683 trim code car. The dash, door panels and steering wheel are in fantastic shape. The dash is equipped with a temperature gauge, speedometer, gas gauge, AM radio, and electric clock, and is in its stock configuration. If you're looking for an easy to drive, classic 50s cruiser we've got a great 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible right here at Ellingson Motorcars. Give us a call today!
