This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe is an impeccably done custom, with great options and a stand out look! 1963 was a milestone year for the Corvette, with the introduction of the "Sting Ray." Not only was the entire car completely redesigned from the chassis up to the body but also, a coupe body was offered for the first time in the car's 10 year history. That sports coupe body has become colloquially known as the "Split Window" due to the center wind split on the roof that ran through the rear glass window. Chevrolet advertised the newly redesigned body on the Corvette Sting Ray as having the "Silhouette [of an] American Sports Car" with "New Grace and Elegance." One additional feature incorporated into the new body design (on both the coupes and the convertibles) was new "pop up" headlights which were not only a styling gimmick but also contributed to the aerodynamic design of the cars. Under the customized hood on this Split Window Corvette is a numbers matching L-76 327 Cubic Inch V8 engine paired with a single 4 barrel carburetor that pushed out 340 horsepower back in 1963. The L-76 327 V8 is mated to a 4 speed manual transmission that is shifted using a floor mounted shifter and makes this '63 Corvette an absolute blast to drive. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a positraction rear end so you can be sure that you'll keep the rubber to pavement with this muscle car. Exhaust exits the L-76 engine via a custom dual exhaust setup that is equipped with a pair Flowmaster mufflers and give this Corvette a nice throaty sound. The two-tone paint is divided at the beltline by a Variegated Copper foil stripe with House of Kolor Gamma Gold Base below and with UK-8 Kandy Tangerine with Pale Gold Metajules and ghost flames on top, all of which was cleared over. Accenting the stunning highly custom paint is custom pinstriping. Additionally, the emblems were removed and replaced with impeccably done air brushed recreations that almost look like the real deal. The interior on this 1963 Corvette Coupe is absolutely stunning! The bucket seats have been reupholstered in light saddle leather with embroidered checkered flag Corvette emblems and seat belts were added as well. The light saddle leather is carried throughout the interior of this Corvette on the dash, door panels, headliner, center console, leather-wrapped Intro custom steering wheel, and rear area. The orange carpeting is also in fantastic shape and ties the exterior and interior looks together. With an Ididit tilt steering column, getting in and out of this custom C2 Corvette is much easier and driving is much more comfortable. Believe it or not, but the dash remains mostly stock coming with a 160 MPH speedometer, 7,000 RPM tachometer, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, battery gauge, and fuel gauge. An AutoMeter volt gauge is incorporated in the center of the dash, along with a clock and upgraded AM/FM entertainment system.
