292 CID V8 - 4BBL - 3 Speed Manual - Correct Interior/Exterior - Arizona History

This 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria is a classic blue oval cruiser with a fantastic 50s look! In 1955, Ford replaced its premium Crestline models with a brand new top-of-the-line Fairlane which was named after the Ford Family's Fair Lane Estate in Michigan. Ford completely redesigned its product offerings in '55 with the new-look Fords bearing flatter hoods, wider and longer bodies, and wraparound windshields. Due to the success of Ford's '55 Fairlane models, the company made only a few changes to the '56 models. Among those minor changes in the 1956 Fairlane were new taillights that were larger with chrome rings around them, new oval shaped parking lights which replaced the previously round ones, and slightly different side trim on the rear quarter panels. The biggest changes for the 1956 Fords occurred under the hoods and in the passenger cabins. The electrical systems in 1956 were upgraded to a more reliable 12 volt system and the instrument cluster and steering wheels also underwent design changes as well. This particular '56 Victoria comes to us from an Arizona-based collector who clearly enjoyed the car while under his stewardship. Powering this '56 Ford is a 292 Cubic Inch V8 engine paired with a single 4 barrel carburetor that pushed out 200 horsepower when new. The 292 V8 is mated to a 3 speed manual transmission that is shifted using a column-mounted "three-on-the-tree" shifter. Exhaust exits via a dual exhaust setup that gives the car a nice throaty sound. With a 12 volt electrical system, this 56 Fairlane fires right up! The exterior on this 1956 has been refinished in Peacock Blue and Colonial White, just how it came from the Louisville, Kentucky plant back in 1956. A set of 4 wide whitewall tires with full wheelcovers complete the exterior look of this Ford Victoria. The front and rear bench seats have a correct stock look consisting of White Vinyl with Peacock Blue cloth inserts. The dash, door panels and steering wheel are in nice shape and retain their stock appearance. The dash is equipped with a 120 MPH speedometer, temperature gauge, fuel gauge, and clock, along with indicator lights for oil pressure and the generator. An AM radio is also incorporated into the dash with an 8-track unit mounted neatly underneath. Whether you're looking to buy your first classic car or you're adding to your Ford collection, this 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria would make a wonderful choice. Give us a call today!
