This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Hardtop is a tastefully restored Restomod with fantastic upgrades! 1955 was a monumental year for Chevrolet's top-of-the-line passenger car model and kicked off the Tri-Five era. The Bel Air received a complete redesign with more squared off appearance giving the new-look Chevys a bolder look. To achieve this fresh look, Chevrolet introduced new-look grilles, freshly restyled bumpers, wraparound windshields, and the famous "hooded" headlights that were carried through the rest of the Tri-Five era cars. The interiors were also plusher than more economic 150 and 210 models and the new interior design would become an iconic characteristic as well. Perhaps the most notable change to the Bel Air line in 1955 was the introduction of the new V8 engines which would be carried forward into many Chevrolets for the following decades. Of course, this '55 Bel Air has received the restomod treatment. Not only does this car output substantial performance, far more than what was available back in 1955, it also has many of those desired creature comforts that make the car much more enjoyable to drive. This particular Tri-Five Bel Air comes to us from a collector who has owned and cared for the car for the past nearly 10 years. Under the hood on this Chevrolet Bel Air is a Blue Print Engines built 383 Cubic Inch Stroker V8 that was said to produce over 400 horsepower when new. The 383 Stroker is paired with a Holley Sniper EFI fuel injection system for more reliable start up and performance while cruising. The 383 V8 is mated to a Richmond 4 Speed Manual Transmission that makes this Tri-Five Chevy a blast to drive especially with the floor mounted Hurst shifter. The engine setup also features a number of performance-oriented upgrades including an HEI ignition system, aluminum radiator, headers and more. This Restomodded Chevrolet is loaded with fantastic options! The front disc brakes and rear drums are controlled by a Wilwood Dual Master Cylinder and which make bringing this Chevy to full stop much easier, especially with all that extra muscle in the engine compartment. Power steering was also added so that you can easily get in and out of those tight spaces at car shows. The suspension was also upgraded to include rear air shocks for a smoother ride going down the road. A 10 Bolt Positraction rear axle was added as well so that you can keep the rubber to the pavement. With Flowmaster Mufflers and dual exhaust, this 1955 Bel Air has a nice throaty sound. Riding on P235/60R15 Radial Tires in the front and P245/60R15 radials in the rear, all of which are paired with chrome reverse wheels with spider center caps, this classic Chevrolet has nice stance and great ride. The exterior on this Bel Air has been beautifully refinished in a Black basecoat/clearcoat that has a great look. The interior on this Bel Air is stunning! The front and rear bench seats have been reupholstered in black leather with black cloth pleated inserts. The door panels, head liner, and carpeting are also in fantastic shape as well. The custom leather wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column further contributing to the superb driving experience that this Bel Air Hardtop offers. With added Air Conditioning, you can stay cool while cruising even on the hottest summer days. The tastefully customized dash harkens back to the stock look of the Tri-Five era and is equipped with a Dolphin Gauges VHX instrument cluster complete with a 160 MPH speedometer, 8,000 RPM tachometer, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, volt gauge and fuel gauge, as well as a retro-style AM/FM radio and clock. Whether you're looking for your very first classic car or you're adding to your existing Tri-Five collection, this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Hardtop Restomod would make an excellent choice.
