Arizona Auction Week 2019

Escaping winter for the warm sunshine of Arizona is something most of us here in Minnesota can appreciate this time of year. As a car lover, if you’re considering a trip to the desert you may want to plan your trip around Arizona Auction Week in Scottsdale, which takes place from January 12th – 20th in 2019. Barret-Jackson is the company most people think of when it comes to the Arizona auctions, and they are holding their 48th annual sale this year. But other auction houses now take advantage the car aficionado crowd too, holding their own auctions that week. Companies like Bonhams, Gooding & Company and RM Sotheby’s will also have events open to the public.

If you find time to visit all the various events taking place that week you’ll see hundreds of collectible cars up for auction, ranging from classic American muscle cars to extremely rare, multi-million dollar finds from Maserati, Jaguar and more. These auctions will include a 1965 Mustang that is the first pre-production hardtop to receive a VIN, with a letter from Ford to prove it. Chevy fans will love seeing the 1954 Corvette Custom convertible with a 5.7L LS1 engine.

If super cars are more your thing, you’ll enjoy the 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta, one of only 448 produced in honor of Pininfarina’s 70th anniversary. Or the 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring editon, one of only 50 built. It can do 0-60 in 3.6 seconds!

Arizona Auction Week may be a bucket list trip for anyone crazy about cars. But remember you can always save the plane & hotel costs, crowds, hassles, shipping and other hidden fees by buying directly from us! Start by browsing our huge inventory of classic cars from the comfort of your own home.
